#2 Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool pleasure beach is the perfect activity for the thrill-seekers among you.

It is hard to miss Blackpool pleasure beach as it is based on the south shore. It is such fun in Blackpool for couples as you can dare each other to ride 'The Big One. It was once the tallest roller coaster in the world but still holds the record for the UK. Only the brave can handle this roller coaster at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Theme Park.

The amusement park is also home to the most extensive collection of wooden roller coasters in the UK, with four to pick from. The wooden roller coasters are super fun compared to more modern-day roller coasters.

Spend the day switching between rides, food stalls and trying to win a giant teddy. Releasing your inner child and making unforgettable memories together as a couple is a great way to spend a day in Blackpool.

#3 The Blackpool Tower

For a bit of culture, Blackpool tower soars above the town and hosts lots of fun things to do for couples.

Inspired by the Parisian Eiffel tower, the Blackpool tower is 380ft tall with views of the town and into the sea. Depending on what you enjoy, there are a wide variety of activities to do in the tower; who would have thought it?

Inside you will find a fantastic 4D cinema to cosy up together and watch a film. This is such a fun experience for a rainy day or if you want to learn more about the history of Blackpool and the tower.

After, take a trip into the sky to the top of the tower. If you are feeling adventurous, walk out on the glass viewing platform where you can see the streets of Blackpool beneath you. We love trying to point out what you can see from the tower. If it is a clear day, you can see all the way up to the Lake District and down to Liverpool!

It is a lovely thing to do as a couple in Blackpool and adds some culture to your weekend trip to Blackpool.

#4 Theatre

For a romantic date night while in Blackpool, take in a show at the Grand Theatre. The grade 2 listed building, built-in 1984, seats 2053 people.

The theatre boasts so much history and has been conserved over the many years since it was built. Now it hosts a wide range of impressive performances, including opera, open mic nights and comedy shows.

There is always something on, especially on weekends, so perfect for couples looking for things to do in Blackpool on the weekend away.

We personally love a comedy club, as you can see in our '20 things to do with your boyfriend when bored in 2022'. We would opt for a giggle, but check out the website to see what might tickle your fancy.

#5 The Adrenaline zone

If the pleasure beach is not enough for the thrill-seekers, then the Adrenaline zone will definitely get the heart rate racing.

When looking for fun things to do in Blackpool for couples, the Adrenaline zone is right up Robyn's Street! She loves exhilarating activities! However, if you are more like Henry, who doesn't enjoy the thrill as much, there are still some more tame activities to try.

The 'Coconut Climbers' aim is to make it to the top of the trees so you can become the King of the Jungle. Or see how high you can jump in the massive trampoline area.

However, if you are looking for a tummy jerker, you have to go on the Sky coaster or Sky screamer. The Sky Coaster is a free-fall swing swooping you right over the sea! If that is not enough, feel the G force on the sky screamer, which is a reverse (yes, reverse!) bungee through the air.

Open 9-5 Monday to Saturday and 10-4 Sunday; it is perfect for any day of the week for a day date as a couple.

We would recommend the Orangutan Outlook as a fun thing couples can do together to see the Bornean Orangutans! Or head over to see the family of Bukavu Silverback Gorillas!
